United Spinal Association is accepting Proposals to Present at our 2012 Independence Expo-Orlando.
Keeping with the theme of “Exploring Your Abilities,” we ask that proposals be submitted in the following presentation
categories (PLEASE NOTE: Your presentation proposal should target an audience of adult consumers, family members
& caregivers).
- Employment & Business Related – Examples of subject matters in this category include: Starting your own business/becoming an entrepreneur; job/career readiness and preparation
- Lifestyle & Active Living – Examples of subject matters in this category include: Travel; Dating/ Socializing; Fashion; Arts & Culture
- Financial Wellness – Examples of subject matters in this category include: management of personal finances; abuse & fraud in today’s financial environment and how to avoid it
- Research, Technology and Education – Examples of subject matter in this category include: Latest trends and
information in research pertaining to people living w/ a spinal cord injury or disease (i.e. MS); Latest and cutting edge advances in technology - Speak Out! – Examples of subject matters in this category include: Self-Advocacy; Community Resources; Community Activism; Women’s Issues

The Deadline for the submission of proposals for the 2012 Independence Expo-Orlando is Friday, April 20, 2012. Selected presentations will be notified via email by Friday, April 27th.
PLEASE NOTE: If your presentation is selected, United Spinal Association is not responsible for any travel/ accommodation costs or expenses. All expenses travel must be paid by the presenter.
