United Spinal Association is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization formed in 1946 by paralyzed veterans. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of Americans with spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI/D). Membership is free and open to all individuals with spinal cord injuries and diseases.

Why An Independence Expo?
United Spinal believes that making the right choice when selecting services, care providers and assistive technology are the cornerstones of personal independence.

Knowing what is available and having the opportunity to compare products and services goes a long way in helping an individual make the right choice.

Independence Expo’s Free Consumer Workshops are interactive sessions that encourage questions. They offer attendees a great opportunity to learn and to get the information that will empower them.

After all, independence is all about choices.
